Welcome to the SUSD PE Website.  This website is a great resource to communicate announcements, workshops, AZ state standards, SUSD concept maps, lesson plans and other useful information.


SUSD District Philosophy -- Physical Education

The Arizona Academic Standards of Physical Education are an essential component of the educational process which provides movement-centered and knowledge-based activities for students.  The focus of SUSD Physical Education is to promote healthy lifestyle habits which contribute to the growth, development, and general wellness of every individual.  It provides essential learning experiences that cannot be duplicated in the traditional classroom.  Specifically, the SUSD Physical Education programs:
·         initiate and guide the development of fundamental skills
·         enhance personal/overall fitness and wellness
·         integrate multiple subject areas, stimulating intellectual growth
·         promote self-discipline and leadership
·         encourage cooperation and team building
·         enhance self-efficacy
·         reduce stress
·         strengthen relationships with peers
